QUAKER STEAK & LUBE® WINS 1st PLACE AT FIERY FOOD CHALLENGE ZESTFEST 2011

The Lube® was awarded multiple honors at the fiery food event.

SHARON, Pa. – February 10, 2011 – Quaker Steak & Lube®, the motorsports-themed casual-dining family restaurant best known for its chicken wings and 25 specialty sauces and flavors was awarded multiple honors at the Fiery Food Challenge ZestFest 2011.  The first place Golden Chile awards were given for the Hot Sauce: Specialty - Consumer Ready Category for Dusted Chipotle BBQ and the Hot Sauce: Asian-Style - Consumer Ready Category for Thaisian.

Second place wins included Triple Atomic for the Hot Sauce: XXX Hot - Consumer Ready Category and Thaisian for the Condiment: Asian/Stir Fry - Consumer Ready Category.
The Lube®’s BBQ sauce won third place for the Barbecue Sauce Sweet Base - Consumer Ready Category.

The event is the longest running, most prestigious competition of zesty products in the industry.  The competition was held January 28-30, 2011 and invites hot, spicy and zesty foods and other related fiery products to be submitted and blind-tasted by a penal of judges.
